Meet Dr. Clark

Mark Clark, D.M.D., M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Clark received his dental degree with honors from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1976, and his medical degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1980. He served his general surgery internship from 1980 through 1981, and his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery from 1981 through 1983. Dr. Clark opened his private practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery in 1983 in Birmingham. He has served as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital for the past nine years. Dr. Clark maintains a position of clinical assistant professor at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Medical Association, and Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as many local organizations. In July 2002, two excellent surgeons, Dr. Jon D. Holmes and Dr. George W. Matthews, Jr., joined his practice. The group practices in a state-of-the-art outpatient facility located in Historic Southside.
